Joint Committee on Transport and Communications to meet for engagement on ComReg’s enforcement functions concerning end-users of electronic communications services

The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications will meet today, Wednesday, 22nd May 2024 for engagement on ComReg’s enforcement functions concerning end-users of electronic communications services at 1:30pm in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Leas-Chathaoirleach Senator Gerry Horkan said: “ComReg is the statutory body responsible for the regulation of the electronic communications sector and the postal sector in Ireland.

“Among the range of issues we will examine this afternoon, our Committee looks forward to engaging with ComReg on their operations and we will seek detail on their enforcement functions and the operation of their enforcement powers.” 

The meeting in Committee Room 2 can be viewed live on Oireachtas TV.

The Joint Committee on Transport and Communications  has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
