I am aware of the unemployment position in Ballisodare, County Sligo. Since the closure of the Pollexfen Flour Mills the Industrial Development Authority have been endeavouring to encourage further industrial development in Ballisodare. Furthermore the IDA have identified a site for industry in the town and if technical investigations prove successful, they hope to purchase it for industrial development.
I am also informed by the Industrial Development Authority that an industrialist has expressed an interest in setting up a project in Ballisodare; discussions are still at a preliminary stage in this case.
