A special provision of £35 million was included in the programme for marketing and processing of agricultural products in the west in the period 1980-84. The total amount has been allocated.
The first review of the programme is now taking place in consultation with the EC and certain changes are being considered with a view to making the programme more effective in promoting the agricultural development of the west.
