Vol. 504 No. 2

Written Answers. - Disabled Drivers Scheme.

John V. Farrelly

Ceist:

187 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Finance when an assessment with the National Rehabilitation Board on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Meath for the purpose of a specially adapted car will be dealt with; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11627/99]

I assume that the Deputy is referring to the disabled drivers medical board of appeal set up under the disabled drivers and disabled passengers (tax concessions) scheme.

The board is an independent body and I am reluctant to make inquiries in individual cases. However, I am sure that the board will make every effort to handle appeals as expeditiously as possible.
