My Department has an extensive post-primary schools building programme under way with a substantial financial commitment being carried forward into 2003. The matter of allowing projects move through architectural planning will be decided when all budgetary issues for 2003 have been finalised and the precise allocations for 2003 fully determined.

A stage 1, submission for an extension project at this school was received in the building unit of my Department. However, a number of matters require to be addressed prior to the project proceeding to the next stage of the planning process. The matter relates largely to the fire at the school.
