Vol. 561 No. 4

Written Answers. - Work Permits.

Ned O'Keeffe

Ceist:

407 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the criteria and procedures which must be met for a person working here under a non-EU work permit to bring an orphaned nephew and niece from South Africa. [4703/03]

A person employed in the State on foot of a work permit issued in his name by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, who wishes to have an orphaned child join him in the State must establish by legal documentation that the child is an orphan and that he has legal guardianship of that child. The person concerned may apply in writing giving further details to the immigration division of my Department which is now located at 13-14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2.
