I have received notice from Senator Terry Leyden that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Justice and Equality to make a statement on the Government's response to the Irish Human Rights Commission recommendation and the statement by the United Nations Committee against Torture on the matters advanced by Justice for Magdalenes.
I have also received notice from Senator Thomas Byrne of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health to discuss his plans for Navan hospital and the need to engage with the local community in County Meath.
I have also received notice from Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to clarify the Government's intention on the future of two-teacher schools and their importance in maintaining a vibrant rural community.
I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
