I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters;

Senators Lynn Ruane and Frances Black - The need for the Minister for Transport to provide an update on his response to the request made by the Gaza Freedom Flotilla to permit one of the humanitarian vessels forming part of the flotilla to operate under the Irish flag.

Senator Fiona O'Loughlin - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on his plans to ensure the protection and maintenance of the Lock 20 project on the Ballyteague blueway.

Senator Mary Seery Kearney - The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to make a statement on the oversight and accountability for care plans, progression and standards of care for those adults with disabilities in residential care who have been transferred to the UK for treatment.

Senator John Cummins - The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to provide an update on the capital building plan for St. Otteran's Hospital, Waterford city, in respect of the proposed early intervention and respite care centre for children with additional needs.

Senator Victor Boyhan - The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to make a statement on Government support for Irish horse racing.

Senator Tom Clonan - The need for the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science to make a statement on the uniformity of supports provided to students with additional needs in third-level education, with specific regard to the National College of Art and Design.

Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Health to review the recent changes made to the HSE home support services in the Cork region.

Senator Robbie Gallagher - The need for the Minister for Education to increase funding for the 2024 summer programme due to the significant increase in numbers participating in the programme nationwide.

Senator Aisling Dolan - The need for the Minister for Transport to provide an update on the progress of the Galway to Athlone cycleway.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and I have selected Senators Lynn Ruane and Frances Black, who are sharing time, and Senators Fiona O'Loughlin, Mary Seery Kearney and John Cummins and they will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
