Ceist:184 Deputy John Deasy asked the Minister for Health and Children if she will request the Health Service Executive not to close Saint Brigid’s Ward in Saint Patrick’s Hospital, Waterford until the equivalent number of beds are provided through increases in other areas of the hospital; if she will seek a guarantee that there will be no reduction in the overall number of beds in the hospital; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
