228 Deputy Jack Wall asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kildare has not received rent supplement payment; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [2511/09]
Amharc ar fhreagraRent supplement is administered on behalf of the Department by the Health Service Executive as part of the supplementary welfare allowance scheme. The Executive has advised that payment of basic supplementary welfare allowance and rent supplement is being reviewed and that both payments have been suspended while the review is ongoing. The Executive will be in direct contact with the person concerned when the review is complete.
