Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection the progress to date in the determination of an application for the invalidity pension in the case of a person (details supplied); when the application is likely to be finalised; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe person referred to has been awarded invalidity pension with effect from 02 June 2022 and will receive his first payment to his nominated bank account on 21 July 2022. Any arrears due from 02 June 2022 to 20 July 2022 will issue in due course. The person in question was notified of this decision on 05 July 2022.
I hope this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
