333. Deputy Anne Rabbitte asked the Minister for Education if a school (detail supplied) can be allowed an earlier tender for agreed work in order that it can be completed before September 2024; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [21726/24]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe school referred to by the Deputy was approved to enter the Department’s pipeline of school buildings for a project to provide 1 mainstream classroom and 1 SET room.
My department issued approval to planning in Q4 of 2022, followed by the submission of planning permission and updated drawings in Q4 of 2023. Currently, a stage 2B report is under review from both a financial and technical perspective, which was submitted in Q1 of this year.
Upon completion of this review process my Department officials will communicate with the school authority regarding the next steps to advance this significant project.
