Medical Cards

Deputy Michael Collins asked the Minister for Health the reason persons diagnosed with life-term illnesses who have already been approved for a medical card are required to go to their local GP and hospital consultants for medical reports, which will not have a changed outcome on them, then go to their local pharmacy and ask for the cost of high-tech medicines and regular daily prescribed medicines to put in an assessment for a box to be reticked.
