Committee on Climate Action (32nd Dáil)

The work of this Committee ceased with the dissolution of the 32nd Dáil on 14 January 2020.

The Committee was established to consider the third report and recommendations of the Citizens’ Assembly entitled How the State can make Ireland a Leader in tackling Climate Change.

The Committee published its report, entitled Climate Change: A Cross-Party Consensus for Action, on 28 March 2019.

The Committee on Climate Action was established in July 2018 by a Dáil motion and a Seanad motion. Its orders of reference have been amended since then, most recently on 8 May 2019, by a motion in the Dáil and a motion in the Seanad.
