asked the Minister for the Environment if he will list the various road grants allocated under each category in 1984, to the various road authorities in Ireland.
Written Answers. - Road Grants.
Table 1 shows the amounts of road grants allocated to road authorities for 1984. In addition £678,500 has been reserved for (a) the provision of specialist equipment to deal with conditions of snow and ice clearance, (b) the installation of weighbridges and (c) traffic counters.
Tables 2 and 3 contain a detailed breakdown of new commitments, totalling £126.47 million, which have been made this year. These figures exclude commitments carried forward from 1983.
