Vol. 577 No. 5

Written Answers. - Medical Cards.

John McGuinness

Question:

145 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if a medical card will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if the matter will be expedited. [31772/03]

Responsibility for the provision of a medical card is, by legislation, a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board-authority. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
