The committee was established on 4 April 2017 to consider the Citizens’ Assembly report and recommendations on the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution.
Final report
The committee has completed its review of the recommendations of the Citizens’ Assembly on the eighth amendment of the Constitution. Its report concludes that Article 40.3.3° should be removed from the Constitution.
