Vol. 2 No. 26

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - ARMY PAYMENTS IN TULLAMORE.

To ask the Minister for Defence if he is aware that the officer commanding the National troops at Tullamore, Offaly, has been supplied with goods amounting to the value of £507 11s. 10d. by Mr. G.N. Walsh during the period July to December, 1922; whether it is correct to state that repeated applications have been made both to Tullamore and to G.H.Q., Portobello Barracks, for whole or part payment of this amount, and in view of the hardship imposed on traders by withholding payment of such old outstanding accounts, if he will urge the responsible authorities to expedite payment of this account.

An account has been received by the military authorities at Tullamore. Its consideration will be expedited. It does not appear that any application in the matter was received at G.H.Q.
