Vol. 6 No. 3

CEISTEANNA-QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - HOUSING OF IRISH MIGRATORY WORKERS IN SCOTLAND.

LIAM MAC SIOGHUIRD

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will inquire into the alleged disgraceful housing of Irish migratory workers in Scotland, and if he will state whether he is in a position to do anything with a view to improving the accommodation provided for those men and women?

I shall be glad to make inquiries into any cases of disgraceful housing of Irish migratory labourers in Scotland in any case in which I receive detailed information, and to make representations if it appears that the by-laws regulating such housing in Scotland are not adhered to.
