Vol. 6 No. 18

WRITTEN ANSWERS - ARMY PENSION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Defence if he has received applications for an army pension or gratuity from John Cowming, Abbeyside, Dungarvan (late No. 18021, A Coy., 14th Infantry Battalion, Waterford Command), and James Whelan, Mapstown, Dungarvan (late No. 18002, Waterford Brigade), who were discharged from the Army medically unfit, suffering from gunshot wounds, and whether instructions will be issued for an immediate decision in these cases.

Applications for pension or gratuity have been received in each case. They are at present under investigation, and every effort will be made to arrive at early decisions.
