asked the Minister for Agriculture whether Irish pedigree stock on being exported from the Saorstát into Great Britain are subjected to the provisions of the Irish Animals (Marking) Order of 1923, and, if not, what are the conditions to be complied with.
CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - EXPORTS OF PEDIGREE STOCK.
Mr. HOGAN
By arrangement between the Department and the British Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, pedigree animals sent to Great Britain from Saorstát Eireann are exempted from the requirements of the Irish Animals (Marking) Order of 1923, provided the animals are accompanied by a certificate given by a Departmental Veterinary Inspector at time of shipment to the effect that the animals are of the pedigree class. The required certificate is obtainable on application in every case where the Inspector is satisfied that it may properly be granted.
