Vol. 10 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - LIMERICK ORDNANCE BARRACKS.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he has received any proposals to utilise the Ordnance Barracks, Limerick, for the purpose of conversion into houses to relieve the house shortage in that city.

I have not received proposals of the kind mentioned by the Deputy. The Ordnance Barracks in Limerick are in the hands of the Commissioners of Public Works. They also, I understand, have not received proposals as referred to.

Will the Minister give favourable consideration to any reasonable proposal put forward to that effect?

The Board of Works have to do with that. I have nothing to do with it now.
