Vol. 11 No. 8

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - CLAIM FOR COMMANDEERED MOTOR CAR.

asked the Minister for Defence if he has received a claim from R.P. Byrne, St. Mary's Street, Dungarvan, for a commandeered motor car, and if he will state when a payment will be made.

A claim has been received from Mr. Byrne in respect of a motor car stated to have been commandeered from him by the I.R.A. in September, 1921. Any question of payment appears to be one for consideration by the Committee set up under the Indemnity Act, 1924, by the Minister for Finance, to whom the claim is being referred.
