Vol. 12 No. 20

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - MOTOR-CAR DUTY.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that the Rev. John Bernard, of Dillonstown, Dunleer, Co. Louth, was charged £61 13s. duty on a Gwynne motor-car on entry from Northern Ireland, where he was till then stationed, to the Saorstát; whether he is aware that the Gwynne Motor Company valued the car at £125, and whether, seeing that the duty charged amounted to half the value of the car, he will expedite payment of the refund, for which Father Bernard has applied.

I am having inquiry made in this case, and will communicate the result to the Deputy as soon as possible.
