Vol. 15 No. 19

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - TRIM URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether his attention has been brought to the action of the Trim Urban District Council in resigning and failing to strike a rate for the present financial year, and whether he will state what steps, if any, have been taken to deal with the present position brought about by the action of that body.

This matter was brought to my notice and I have, under Section 72 of the Local Government Act, 1925, ordered an inquiry into the performance of its duties by the Trim Urban District Council. The inquiry has been fixed for Tuesday, the 8th proximo, at 11 a.m., at Trim.
