CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ANNUITY ON LAND FOR SHANNON SCHEME.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether he is aware that Mrs. B. Curry, Ballykillane, Ardnacrusha, has been noticed for payment of annuity for land which has been taken over for the last nine months in connection with the Shannon Scheme.

The holding of Mrs. B. Curry is subject to a Land Purchase Annuity of £11 12s. 2d., and payment of the half-yearly instalment, due 1st December last, having been withheld this case with others was sent to the State Solicitor for County Clare to institute legal proceedings. This tenant purchaser's lands were not entered upon until a date subsequent to the date on which the instalment became due.
