Vol. 16 No. 22

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - KILDARE LANDS.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether he is aware that in reply to Question No. 17 of the 1st June, 1926, he stated that if a further copy of the list of names of congest applicants and lands in the Rathangan-Allen area, Co. Kildare, was sent to him the information as to what progress had been made by the Land Commission in acquiring those lands would be furnished; that on the 2nd June, 1926, such a list with a copy of the letter of the 1st April, 1925, was sent to his Department, which has not yet acknowledged it, and whether he is now able to give the information asked for.

The information asked for in the question is being obtained and will be furnished to the Deputy as soon as it is completed.

As soon as possible?

As soon as the information has been obtained.

It is taking a long time to obtain it. I sent in a list on 1st April, 1925; I have asked two or three questions since, and still I cannot get any information. It is not fair.

The Deputy's own question points out that he was asked to send in a further copy of the list of names of congest applicants and lands. That seemed to indicate sufficient detail had not been supplied by the Deputy at the time he put down the original question.

I suppose that was thrown in the waste paper basket? After twelve months I supplied a copy of the original list and still I cannot get a reply.

You have got it now.
