asked the Minister for Finance if he will state if any steps have been taken to relieve unemployment in County Meath through a drainage scheme, and, if so, if he will state the area or areas to be benefited by same.
CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - UNEMPLOYMENT IN CO. MEATH.
Mr. BOURKE
Nine drainage districts situated in Co. Meath (four wholly and five partly in the county) have been restored recently under the Drainage Maintenance Act, 1924. In addition work is at present in progress on seven other districts, five entirely and two partly situated in County Meath. The works have been spread over the county generally, and I am sending the Deputy a list of the districts, together with a tracing showing the position of each.
