CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - McVEAGH ESTATE (CO. MEATH).

asked the Minister for Fisheries if he will state the position of the McVeagh Estate, Roddenstown, County Meath, and if he will see that this estate is made available for division amongst the people of that district and that they get a reasonable portion of the good land.

The total area of untenanted land acquired on this estate is 727a. 0r. 30p. Of this 346a. 0r. 12p. has been divided amongst local applicants, the residue 381a. 0r. 18p. is being utilised to provide suitable exchanges for migrants from congested areas whose lands are urgently needed for the relief of congestion.
