Vol. 24 No. 11

PUBLIC BUSINESS. - CREAMERY BILL, 1928—FIRST STAGE.

I move for leave to introduce a Bill, entitled "An Act to make provision for the more effective regulation and control in certain respects of the dairying industry and persons and co-operative societies engaged therein with a view to the better re-organisation of that industry and for other matters connected with such re-organisation."

We are not opposing this Bill. We welcome it. The question of the delay that has taken place as regards the introduction of this Bill occupied our members at some meetings recently. In fact, we had intended to ask questions about it. We hope that there will be no delay in getting the Bill through.

Leave Granted.
Bill read a First Time.
Bill ordered for Second Reading on Wednesday next.
