Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kildare Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he can state when the untenanted lands, containing 181 acres 1 rood 10 perches, held by Mrs. James Lyons, in the townland of Castlesize, electoral division of Bodenstown, Co. Kildare, will be available for allotment amongst the congest applicants (49 in number) whose names have been furnished to the Department.

The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of the lands of Castlesize, held by Mr. Andrew Lyons, under Section 24 (1) of the Land Act, 1923, and the price thereof has been determined. Possession of the lands will be obtained at the end of the year, and they will then be allotted.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he can state when the lands, containing 178 acres, on the estate of the late Mr. Robert Murray, in the townland of Nurney, Co. Kildare, will be available for allotment amongst the local congests.

Proceedings have been instituted under the provisions of the Land Act, 1923, for the acquisition of the lands of Nurney, containing 178a. 0r. 31p., on the estate of the late Mr. Robert Murray, Co. Kildare. The lands were published in a provisional list of lands in "Iris Oifigiúil" of the 12th February, 1929, and will, if not excluded in consequence of a valid objection, become vested in the Land Commission on the appointed day.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether the Land Commission have decided to acquire, for the relief of congestion, the lands containing about 1,024 acres on the La Touche estate, near Kilcullen, Co. Kildare, and, if so, whether he will state when the lands will be available for allotment amongst the congest applicants (48 in number) whose names have been furnished to the Department.

The Land Commission have had the lands inspected and the matter is at present under consideration.
