The debate was adjourned on Friday in order that Deputy Fahy and those acting with him might come to a decision as to the course of action they would adopt. Perhaps the Deputy would now state the decision to which they came.

Within the last half-hour I gave Deputy Thrift a typewritten document containing certain conditions on which those who are supporting this motion, and who asked me and others to bring it forward, are willing to accept the course suggested by Deputy Thrift, namely, taking action through the Courts. It would not be fair to expect Deputy Thrift to accept these conditions here and now, as I am sure he would have to consult others. I therefore suggest that the motion be postponed until this day fortnight.
I would like to say that, without taking legal opinion regarding the meaning of the conditions, I would not like to express an opinion straight off now, and I would be glad if the House would accept Deputy Fahy's suggestion.
We will resume the debate on the motion this day fortnight, when Deputy Thrift will have the right to resume his speech. Deputy Fahy has not lost his right to conclude the debate.
