Vol. 32 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Homespun Industry.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether it is his intention to send more instructors in the new methods of weaving homespuns to areas in the Gaeltacht where the industry is still alive.

It is the intention that the instructor in design and weaving should be stationed from time to time in different centres in the Gaeltacht, and application has been made for the appointment of three additional weaver-instructors for Donegal, Connemara, and Kerry, for the purpose of assisting him in the initial stages of the instruction.
