Vol. 35 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployed in Co. Cavan.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he can state the number of unemployed in the County Cavan and the amount paid in unemployment benefit in that county in the last twelve months.

The areas of the Local Employment Offices of my Department do not necessarily correspond with the county boundaries and for this reason I can only give figures estimated from the registers of those offices. The number of persons in County Cavan registered as unemployed is estimated at 87 and the amount paid in unemployment benefit in that county in the last twelve months at £4,520.
