Vol. 36 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Turbary Claim.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he is aware that an assurance was given at the time of the vesting of the farm held by Jeremiah Healy, McCartie Estate, Kerry (Receivable Order No. of farm 85/8985), that Healy, the tenant, would be allotted the usual acreage of turbary, and that this tenant has repeatedly complained to the Irish Land Commission that he has no turbary, and if the Minister will now send down an inspector to investigate this claim.

Mr. Jeremiah D. Healy signed a purchase agreement with the Congested Districts Board, dated 1st November, 1918, for the purchase of his holding on the townland of Headford, together with an appurtenant right of turbary on a plot containing 3a. 0r. 33p. on the holding of William Murphy and others on the townland of Coole.

His holding was vested in him, together with the right of turbary, on 29th July, 1921.
