Vol. 36 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Collis Estate (Co. Kerry).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he is aware that an assurance was given by his Department in October, 1929, that the 250 acres situated in the Collis Estate, Tieraclea, Tarbert, Kerry, would be taken over by his Department and distributed amongst the people who are agitating for its division; whether this estate has been acquired; and, if not, if he will state the reasons why.

The question of the acquisition of the lands referred to by the Deputy is still under consideration, and at the present stage the Land Commission are not in a position to say whether they will be acquired.
