Vol. 36 No. 8

Written Answers. - Division of Lands in Mayo.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state the cause of delay in putting into operation the scheme for the division of the lands surrendered by George Cuffe at Killasser, Swinford, County Mayo.

The Land Commission are not yet in a position to dispose of the holding vacated by George Cuffe, a migrant in Country Mayo, as the allotment of the lands has to be considered in conjunction with the adjoining farms which are held in rundale, and great difficulty is being experienced in getting tenants to agree to a scheme of re-arrangement.
