Written Answers. - Dáil Eireann Internal Loan.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he will state if he has placed on the primary register of subscribers the name of Patrick Kenneally, Ballinamadaugh, Glin, Co. Limerick, who subscribed £2 to the Dáil Eireann Internal Loan (1919-1920); and, if so, whether he will state how soon he proposes to pay this subscriber.

The name of Patrick Kenneally, Ballinamadaugh, Glin, Co. Limerick, has been entered in the register of subscribers to the Dáil Eireann Internal Loan, 1919-20 for a subscription of £2, and authority to issue a Savings Certificate to Mr. Kenneally to enable him to obtain repayment in respect of his subscription was given to the Accountant, Department of Posts and Telegraphs, on the 14th February, 1928.

I am informed that the Certificate was duly issued, and its receipt was acknowledged by Mr. Kenneally in a communication addressed to the Department of Posts and Telegraphs on the 17th February, 1928.

No application for repayment in respect of the amount of the Certificate has, however, been received in that Department.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he will state if he has placed on the primary register of subscribers the name of Mrs. Deborah McNamara, Tobernea, Effin, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick, who subscribed £10 to the Dáil Eireann Internal Loan (1919-1920); and, if so, whether he will state if he proposes to pay this subscriber soon.

The name of Mrs. Deborah McNamara, Tobernea, Effin, Kilmallock, has been entered in the register of subscribers to the Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan, 1919-20, for a subscription of £10.

Authority given on the 16th December, 1930, to the Accountant, Department of Posts and Telegraphs, for the issue to Mrs. McNamara, through her solicitor, of a Savings Certificate to enable her to obtain repayment in respect of her subscription. I am informed that a paying warrant which was issued to Mrs. McNamara's solicitor on the 29th January last in respect of the amount of the certificate has not yet been presented for payment.
