Considerable difficulty has been experienced in securing a suitable site for a high power broadcasting station in the immediate vicinity of Athlone. Negotiations for the acquisition of such a site are still proceeding, but it cannot be stated when they will be completed. Obviously, the work of erection of the station cannot commence until the site has been acquired.
