Vol. 49 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Improvement of Clare Castle Pier.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has received a copy of a memorial from the people of Clare Castle asking for a grant for the purpose of improving Clare Castle Pier and widening the River Fergus so as to assist navigation, and if he will make provision to carry out these works without delay in view of the seriousness of the unemployment prevailing in the district.

The memorial referred to in the question has been received, and is under consideration. It is not intended to proceed with this work under this year's relief schemes.
