Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sweepstake Allocations to Hospitals.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he will state (a) the total sum now under the control of the Hospitals Commission for distribution to the participating hospitals, and (b) the total sum, the proceeds of sweepstakes, distributed to date to hospital authorities in each county; whether any scheme has been prepared for the ultimate disposal of the moneys now in the custody of the Hospitals Commission; and, if not, whether he is prepared to expedite the preparation of a comprehensive scheme suitable to the needs of the country and to arrange that the hospital authorities will be informed at an early date of the extent to which they may rely on an income from this source for the purpose of their future development.
