Vol. 60 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Convictions for Loitering

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state the number of persons arrested during each of the last five years and charged with loitering with intent to commit a felony and the number of such persons actually convicted of the offence with which they were charged, and further, whether it is his intention to curtail the powers of arrest so as to protect innocent people against unnecessary loss of liberty.

Accurate information on this subject is not yet available. Perhaps the Deputy will repeat his question in a fortnight's time.
