Vol. 66 No. 1

Order of Business.

The business will be as on the Order Paper, Nos. 1, 2 and 3, Estimates Nos. 32 to 36 inclusive and 45 to 51 inclusive, and item No. 5, Imposition of Duties (Confirmation of Orders) Bill. Public business will not be interrupted to take Private Members' business.

Are we to understand that if the group of Estimates, 45 to 51, are not reached to-night they will be taken to-morrow after the two Bills that are in hands, Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Bill and Imposition of Duties (Confirmation of Orders) Bill?

That is probable, but I could not say so definitely.

The difficulty is this, that we would like to try to meet the Government about whatever business they wish to take to-morrow. We understand they are desirous of taking the Office of Public Works and putting it out of their way to-morrow. If that is so we are anxious to accommodate the Government in any way that is reasonable. If they wish to take the Office of Public Works and to dispose of it, we would like to know whether that Estimate will be taken before Education, if Education is not reached to-morrow. If the Government cannot let us have that information, at least, we have offered to help them.

The matter will be arranged later, I suppose.
