Vol. 66 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kerry Water Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if (a) he will cause an inquiry to be instituted by an independent expert engineer into the working of the scheme known as the Lacca water scheme, Listowel, County Kerry, and (b) if he will provide for the hearing of evidence from some of the prominent citizens of that town as to the adequacy or otherwise of the water supply and the quality of such water.

This matter is engaging the attention of the commissioner administering the powers and duties of the Listowel Urban District Council. I understand he is getting an independent expert opinion. I do not propose to institute an inquiry on the lines suggested.
