Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployment Expenditure.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will give particulars of the expenditure of the sum of £2,500,000 forecasted in Budget speech of 1936 for relief of unemployment under the following heads: (1) public health works; (2) housing development; (3) harbour works; (4) airports; (5) experimental works; (6) miscellaneous works.

The Deputy is referred to the recent statement made by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance on the introduction of the Estimate for Employment Schemes for 1937-38.

The allocations and estimated expenditure to 31st March, 1937, for each of the items referred to by the Deputy are as follows:—
