Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cement Duties.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state what sum of money has been collected from the import licence of 5/- per ton on Portland cement, and also what amount has been paid under the ad valorem duty on English cement.

The amount collected from the import licence duty of 5/- per ton on cement up to the 31st March, 1937, was £169,389. The amount collected from the ad valorem duty on United Kingdom cement was £49,039.
