Vol. 75 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Castletownbere Slip.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that a proposal for the building of a slip or landing stage at Castletownbere was submitted to his Department in October, 1937, and that the site was inspected by one of his officials later that year; and if he will now state what is the present position regarding the matter.

A preliminary inspection of the site has been made, but a complete survey will be necessary, in order that a detailed plan and estimate may be prepared for submission to the Cork County Council for approval. It is hoped to have the survey made within the next few months.
