Vol. 82 No. 2

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Landlord and Tenant Inquiry Tribunal.

asked the Minister for Justice whether the tribunal appointed on February 5th, 1936, to inquire into matters relating to town tenants has completed its inquiries, whether it presented a report to him and, if so, on what date; whether it is intended to publish the report and, if so, when will publication take place.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he had received the report of the Landlord and Tenant Inquiry Tribunal, and, if so, when he proposes to publish it.

Mr. Boland

I propose to take Questions Nos. 21 and 22 together. The Agreed Report of the Tribunal was signed on the 31st January last, as were two separate short reports by individual members of the tribunal. Two separate reports furnished by the chairman and another member were signed on the 21st February. The completed documents were received by me on the 24th February. I have not yet had an opportunity myself of fully considering the reports nor of bringing them to the notice of the Government. As to the question of publishing the reports, I expect that on this point an early decision will be taken, which I shall communicate to the Deputies.
