Vol. 82 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Construction of Bog Roads.

asked the Minister for Finance whether, in view of the necessity for cutting the maximum quantity of turf this year, he will arrange to promote measures immediately for the construction of roads into bogs so as to facilitate the winning of turf as a substitute for coal and, if so, when these measures will be brought into effect.

Money will be made available for the construction or repair of roads leading into turbary where and when the quantity of turf likely to be produced is commensurate with the cost of the road works.
