Committee on Finance. - Vote 17—Rates on Government Property.

I move:—

Go ndeontar suim ná raghaidh thar £97,870 chun slánuithe na suime is gá chun íoctha an Mhuirir a thiocfaidh chun bheith iníoctha i rith na bliana dar críoch an 31adh lá de Mharta, 1942, chun Rátaí agus Síntiúisí in ionad Rátaí, etc., alos Maoine Riaghaltais agus chun Síntiúisí mar chabhair chun Rátaí ar Aitreabhacha i seilbh Ionadaithe do Riaghaltais Eachtracha d'ioc.

That a sum not exceeding £97,870 be granted to complete the sum necessary to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending the 31st day of March, 1942, for rates and contributions in lieu of rates, etc., in respect of Government property, and for contributions towards rates on premises occupied by representatives of External Governments.

There is an increase of £12,490 on this Vote due to provision for higher rates and the occupation of additional premises by Government Departments, as well as the acquisition of extra land for forestry.
